Incredibly funny or immensely stupid (depending on who you ask) trilogy consisting of five to six books (yeah, right) which I would recommend to read in German as the original English version is pretty hard to understand and you may miss a lot of the humour.
If you have come across phrases like "So long, and thanks for all the fish", "Don't panic!", "The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything" or have always wondered what towel day is and why some people on the internet regularly mention the number 42, you should definitely read it.
